Reigning champions Chelsea and runners-up Tottenham will go head-to-head at Wembley in the second week of the Premier League season.

The new campaign gets under way on Saturday 12 August with Antonio Conte's Chelsea hosting Burnley in their first fixture three months after winning the title by seven points ahead of their London rivals.

The Manchester and Merseyside derbies are scheduled to take place on the same weekends. Manchester City visit Old Trafford and Everton travel to Anfield on December 9, with the return fixtures pencilled in for April 7.

All eyes will be on Arsenal this season after Arsene Wenger's decision to stay and the Frenchman will be fired up for their third game when he takes his Gunners to Liverpool on August 26.
Jose Mourinho's Manchester United will take on West Ham in their opener at Old Trafford, while neighbours City and Pep Guardiola head to new boys Brighton.

Championship winners Newcastle welcome Spurs at St James' Park on the first day and Huddersfield, fresh from their play-off win, face a trip to the capital when they play Crystal Palace.

Hopes were high for a classic FA Cup semi-final between the Premier League's best two teams, and Chelsea and Tottenham did not disappoint.

The Blues earned the right to progress to the final with a 4-2 win over Spurs, who twice came from behind with brilliant goals of their own but could not cope with Chelsea's attacking juggernaut.

There were stunning goals galore, but Nemanja Matic — who is by no means a regular goal scorer — stole the show with an absolute piledriver to seal the victory

The scoring was opened by Willian, whose wonderful free kick beat Hugo Lloris to his left, but Spurs striker Harry Kane equalised with a delightfully intelligent flicked header.

A penalty gave Chelsea the lead back, before Christian Eriksen expertly found Dele Alli, who finished with aplomb to level things up at 2-2.

With the game in the balance, Eden Hazard swept a goal through a sea of legs to get the lead back before Matic sealed the deal.

Chelsea and Spurs will continue their battle for the title in earnest, while Manchester City and Arsenal will tonight play in the second semi to see who faces the Blues in the FA Cup final in May.

Standing Rock protest: UFC’s Ronda Rousey arrives to fight pipeline Donald Trump just revived

The former champ is taking her fight from the cage to North Dakota in support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

We haven't seen Ronda Rousey much at all since her disappointing loss at the hands of Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. And while we still don't know if she plans to fight in the cage again, it looks like she's still fighting in other ways for causes she believes in. Earlier tonight, a picture showed up on a Standing Rock protester's Twitter account showing Rousey on site.

Standing Rock is where the Sioux tribe and other “water protectors” have set up to protest the planned building of the $3.8 billion Dakota Access oil pipeline. The pipeline crosses the Missouri River just above the Standing Rock reservation, and the Sioux are concerned their drinking water will become contaminated.

After a tense standoff that saw militarized police shooting rubber bullets and water cannons at civilians, the United States Army Corps of Engineers denied a permit for the pipeline to cross the river until environmental impact research was done. But, just this morning, President Donald Trump signed an executive order overturning that decision, and water protectors are already rushing back onto the site to stop the project from moving forward.

And now “Rowdy” is one of them.

This isn't the first time Rousey has clashed with Trump. During his campaign, he claimed she supported him as a candidate, somethingthe brash Rousey quickly called bull on. From there the two sparred from time to time in the press, with The Donald celebrating Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm on his Twitter account, saying, “She's not a nice person!”

But, while she may have gained a reputation for being mean and stand-offish with the press, it’s important to remember she’s done a lot for various charities over the years from the Didi Hirsch Foundation to the Free Rice Campaign and beyond. Now, she’s stepping back into the spotlight to fight for Standing Rock. Here’s hoping it’s the first step in an eventual decision to fight in the Octagon again.
